This piece turned out so much more beautiful than I thought it would be when I started it!
This year – 2019 – I have been trying to use my stash and clear out my crochet closet from all the yarn I have accumulated over the years. I had this leftover Caron Cake Chunky Rainbow Jelly yarn from a project I did last year and decided to use it up after I thrifted this large vintage quilting hoop. I took the hoop apart and then used the inside of a new hoop that I had recently purchased that is just slightly larger than the top two.
I decided on this pattern for the middle:

As far as the amount of yarn – I had most of one skein left minus a full color and then one ball of a color leftover from a second cake – so, I guess I had one full cake although it had been broken up for my previous project.
I made 3 of the above pattern and used my I size hook and then tied the hoops together and added tassels and it turned out so beautiful! I am just in love with it and it is such a happy piece! It is pretty quick to make and can easily be done in a day.
