Letter O: *the letter O is worked just like the letter A, but we aren’t putting on the little bottom curve.
Chain 26
Join chain to form a circle being careful not to twist
Chain 1 and SC in same space and
SC in each stitch around circle (26)
Join, Ch1. You will start work in this same stitch as your chain 1.
(hdc, 2hdc) 7 times.
(skip 2 sc, dc 5 in the next same stitch (shell) 3 times
Skip 2, hdc in last stitch. Join. Chain up 1.
Sc in the same space and the next stitch. 2 sc in the next stitch.
(sc in the next two stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch) repeat around. Join and FO.
The last step to these letters is steam blocking. This step is so important. I can’t stress how important and what kind of difference this step makes. I did a post about steam blocking HERE in relation to a different project, but the idea is the same. This step takes your letter up a notch! It makes is lay flat, look professional, soften a little and just all around look so much better.
